Smart Housing and the year ahead
The year ahead is shaping up to be very exciting for Smart Housing as we continue to cement our existing partnerships across government and industry and work towards securing further alliances across industry to build on-the-ground examples of Smart Houses throughout Queensland.
With 2004 being hailed as the Year of the Built Environment, we will be working to ensure Smart Housing remains at the forefront as an important initiative supporting best practice design and the triple bottom line approach to sustainability.
Our research suggests consumers are keen to know more about Smart Housing, with an analysis of the Smart Housing’s web hits indicating the Smart Housing website and marketing materials rate as some of the most requested pages on the site.
The February opening of the Greensmart Village at Springfield Lakes signals the launch of the first on-the-ground Smart Housing examples for 2004. Three displays houses within the village will feature Smart Housing design principles and will serve as important marketing tools to illustrate the initiative to consumers.
