Smart Housing Update - July 2006

Level three water restrictions are now in place in South East Queensland

South East Queensland is experiencing the worst drought in more than 100 years. With less than average rainfall, our water supplies are at an all-time low. In response to the water situation the Queensland Government, in partnership with SEQWater and 12 other regional councils, has developed the External link Regional Drought Strategy.

On 13 June 2006, level three water restrictions were introduced which means a total ban on sprinkling and hosing.

For a copy of the restrictions, visit External link www.seqwater.com.au.
